  1. From the News & Record:

GREENSBORO − T. Dianne Bellamy-Small announced in a news release that she plans to file for the District 1 seat on the Guilford County Board of Commissioners.

She served 10 years on the Greensboro City Council before she lost to newcomer Sharon Hightower in the November municipal election. She now has her eyes on the District 1 county seat, which Commissioner Bruce Davis is leaving to compete in a congressional race.

Bellamy-Small will hold a community meet-and-greet sessions during the following times, according to the release:

    11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Stephanie’s II, 2507 Randleman Road.
2-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Starbucks at Furnitureland South, 5635 Riverdale Drive, Jamestown.
1-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Beck and Mary’s Restaurant, 731 E. Washington St. in High Point.
